   Screen printed cover. Stamped and numbered out of copies on the back cover. Blue vinyl edition. This is a compilation of material already released officially; specifically Disc 1 and the first part of Disc 3 (The Ludlow Street Demos) from the "Peel Slowly And See" box set, released in /5(2).

   I'm not musical enough to appreciate why Reed's first lp was so seminal and influential, and I've always preferred white English grit and blues to Reed's decadent New York sound, but Heroin even more than Sweet Jane or Walk on the Wild Side has become my standard whenever I begin cooking for dinner parties-probably because i have the same relationship to good food that Reed had to his needle/5(8).

   These are all sourced from the Peel Slowly and See CD set, but this is handy to have because one take each from the stop-start over-and-over tape that makes up CD1 of the set is a great improvement on the original.
